About
Kakhi Jordania is a master falconer, conservationist, and cultural ambassador from Tbilisi, Georgia. With a lifelong dedication to raptors and the ancient art of falconry, he has become a global leader in bridging tradition with modern environmental stewardship. Inspired as a boy when he first encountered a golden eagle in the Caucasus Mountains, Kakhi apprenticed under traditional falconers and later traveled through Central Asia and the Middle East to study diverse techniques. He is the founder of the Caucasus Raptor Conservation Initiative (CRCI), where he has led the rescue and rehabilitation of hundreds of raptors, partnered with UNESCO to secure recognition of Georgian falconry as intangible cultural heritage, and pioneered satellite tracking for migratory species like the saker falcon and imperial eagle. Beyond conservation, Kakhi is the author of Wings of the Caucasus, an acclaimed book exploring the cultural and spiritual meaning of falconry. His work, blending heritage and innovation, continues to inspire new generations to respect and protect the natural world.
